Tony Stockdale’s end of consultancy report

We're waiting for L campbell to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear De Montfort University,
Further to my FOI dated 14 February 2019 re. Tony Stockdale’s payments for consultancy work , you state in your response dated 15 March 2019, that there was an end of consultancy report. Please could I have a copy of that report and the minutes of the board meeting where it was presented to the board. I do not know the date of said board meeting but I am sure that that would be too onerous to find.
Thank you

Yours faithfully,

L campbell

Freedom of Information, De Montfort University

Dear L Campbell

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000-INFORMATION REQUEST

Your request for information has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our response is as follows:

We are withholding the requested report under Section 43(2) of the Freedom of Information Act as we believe it's release would prejudice the commercial interests of De Montfort University. The report contains significant strategic information relating to DMU which could be used by other institutions to gain a competitive advantage. Because Section 43(2) is a qualified exemption we are obliged to undertake a Public Interest Test. Whilst we accept there is a public interest in the administration of universities, we believe there is a greater public interest in universities being able to operate on a level playing field within a highly competitive sector. As such we find Section 43(2) to be fully engaged.

This report was not presented to the board.

If you have any queries please get in touch with me to discuss them. You might like to know that the University’s website www.dmu.ac.uk contains a section on the Freedom of Information Act that lists other publications readily available from the University under its Publication Scheme.

Yours sincerely,
