Toner cartridge procurement restrictions

The request was partially successful.

Dear NHS England,

I have recently messaged a number of CCG's trying to find the root of this information however a number of them have directed me to NHS England as the source. Because of this, would you please answer the below questions?

Is it a directive of NHS England that GP surgeries must use OEM toner cartridges?

Does NHS England have any problems with GP surgeries using third-party printer consumables?

If the answer is yes to either of the above questions, may you please explain why?

Thanks in advance .

Yours faithfully,

Oliver Fribbens
