To obtain VRN of tipper lorry that hit my vehicle and failed to stop.

Department for Transport did not have the information requested.

Dear Department for Transport,
Yesterday morning I was on my way to work at the fire station between 8:45 and 8:55 my vehicle( black Mercedes 250d WA180GF) was hit by a green tipper lorry.
The incident occurred at the junction of Marsh lane(A5120) and Barnet way leading upto Apex corner roundabout.I was in The left hand lane and the lorry Was in the middle lane. We were both stationary waiting for for the traffic to pass, the lorry started to pull out and in doing so pulled right across me On my o/S Hitting my wing, smashing my headlight And tipping my bumper off on the o/S.
I hit my horn to alert them to stop which they didn’t, i then tried to follow them but had to to stop due to my bumper dragging along the floor.
Maybe they didn’t see however there is a camera which I believe could be owned by TFL?
If that’s the case I beg that you look at it as it will be able to see the lorries VRN and assist me with my claim.
I hope that common sense prevails if the camera is in use and that it can be used to identify the vehicle and driver.

Yours faithfully,

Lewis holbard
