Titles and (if possible) examples of UCD## series of letters

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Many information leaflets and template letters which can be uploaded to a universal credit journal or sent to a universal credit claimant or a third party have codes such as "UCD35" (in this case the letter referring someone to the work capability assessment process). Similarly a "UCD90" is the letter sent to a GP informing them of the outcome of a work capability decision.

1. Please provide a list of the full titles for all documents in this series of universal credit documents which are currently in use or if the documents are only know by their codes a list of all of the codes for such documents that are currently is use.

2. Please provide copies of each of the documents in this list which are not already in the public domain.

Note if compliance with 2 cannot for whatever reason be achieved, please still provide the information at 1.

Yours faithfully,

Martin Williams

Dear Martin Williams,

I am writing in response to your request for information, received 25th
February.

Yours sincerely,

DWP Central FoI Team

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Many thanks for your reply.

Your reply states:

"Under Section 12 of the FOI Act the Department is not therefore obliged to comply with your
request and we will not be processing it further. The reason being is to individually extract and
print every form on the UC notifications list would be burdensome and require a high degree of
manual processing.
Under Section 16 of the FoI Act we should help you narrow your request so that it may fall
beneath the cost limit. We feel that you should narrow your request and give us more
specifics of the forms you would like. We have attached a list of all the codes along with titles,
which should help you narrow down the request. By doing this, your request may fall within the
cost limit of £600 specified in the Freedom of Information and Data Protection Regulations
2004."

It does not seem that you "attached a list of all the codes along with titles" as stated- I assume this is simply an inadvertent slip.

I would be grateful if you could now send this.

Many thanks.

Martin
