Tissue pathway for histopathological examination of the placenta
Dear Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust,
Could you please send or attach a copy of your guidelines/protocol of histopathological examination of a placenta if the mother has pre-eclampsia, and the fetal is distressed after admission into your hospital, after birth the baby birthweight is at 3rd centile?
Referral of placenta for examination is ESSENTIAL in this case, isn’t it?
Yours faithfully,
Gabriella Fodorne
