The request was successful.

Dear Sevenoaks District Council,

I would like to request the current full detailed timetables for your Rubbish Lorries and Recycling Lorries showing the routes that they take and which days and times they will be on each road and each location. So basically something like a bus timetable but for your Rubbish Lorries and Recycling Lorries instead. Many thanks.

Yours faithfully,

John Smith

Dear John Smith

Freedom of Information Request: 651 - 2018

Thank you for your request received by Sevenoaks District Council on 28
August 2018.

In relation to your enquiry, please find the Council’s response set out
below.

Your enquiry was:

I would like to request the current full detailed timetables for your
Rubbish Lorries and Recycling Lorries showing the routes that they take
and which days and times they will be on each road and each location. So
basically something like a bus timetable but for your Rubbish Lorries and
Recycling Lorries instead.

Our response:

We have attached various files in relation to our refuse collection rounds
and need to make the following qualifications.

We do not specify a time for collection only a day. The collection day can
vary following bank or public holidays and the variations are published in
advance in our customer magazine, In-Shape, and on our Website. Residents
are advised that they should place their rubbish and recycling out by 7am
on the appropriate collection day to ensure collection takes place.
Information on our collection days is available on our website.

Because of the demographic of our district (part rural part urban)
collections are in some areas are made by separate vehicles, one for black
sacks and one for clear, or two split bodied vehicles where both black and
clear sacks are collected at the same time but placed into different sides
of the collection vehicle. We also have what we refer to as a small
vehicle collection round for those properties that cannot be accessed by,
or where it is not practical to send, a full sized refuse collection
vehicle, for example down narrow farm tracks or in very rural locations.
