The request was successful.

Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,

Please provide a list of the 20 'most outstanding' validated planning applications - ie those 20 which have been waiting the longest for determination.

Dear Councillor Lewis

Thank you for your patience in relation to your request; “Please provide a
list of the 20 'most outstanding' validated planning applications - ie
those 20 which have been waiting the longest for determination.”

The attached spreadsheet shows the 20 most outstanding validated
applications awaiting determinations. Please note that these applications
will have encountered some form of difficulty that has prevented the
Council from issuing a decision.

Article 40(13) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management
Procedure) (England) Order 2015 allows for planning applications to be
‘finally disposed of’ which means that the application is ‘closed’ without
an approval/refusal decision. It is likely that officers will exercise
these powers in relation to the majority these applications in due course,
given the impasse that has been reached.

Yours sincerely
