Time Scale

Lisette Skeet made this Freedom of Information request to Independent Case Examiner

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Independent Case Examiner should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Independent Case Examiner,

Please tell me if a Formal Complaint sent to the DWP's Resolution Team, after 14 weeks may be deemed to have been held without action for long enough. With only silence in response, might the complainant turn to ICE, bring details, and request movement on the case?

Yours faithfully,

Lisette Skeet

Dear DWP ICE gateway team,

I have been notified that your response to my most recent FOI request is overdue.
Please accept this respectful reminder.
I asked about time scales. The answer is especially important because at ICE, the Initial Action Officer requires complainants to adhere to them.

Yours sincerely,

Lisette Skeet

Dear DWP ICE gateway team,

My FOI request relates to the work of ICE in terms of normal follow-up procedure when the DWP has not resolved a Formal Complaint.

It is relevant to stipulated time scales, an essential part of your routine operations (see original message). Your Initial Action Case Manager may have the details, which could be published.

Please respond urgently to this overdue FOI request according to lawful requirements.

Many thanks,
Yours sincerely,

Lisette Skeet
