Tier 4 sponsor licence

The request was successful.

Dear Gower College Swansea,

Please can you could you state whether, since being granted a Tier
4 sponsor licence, you have been visited by UK Visas & Immigration
(and before that, the UK Border Agency) for the purpose of
assessing your institution's compliance with the sponsor licence.

If the answer is yes, please could you state whether the assessment
included direct investigation of the practical application of
admissions policy (i.e., looking at an actual sample of individual
applications already approved for a Tier 4 visa by your
institution) or whether only a general appraisal of policy
relating to the sponsor licence was carried out, without direct
investigation of its practical application.

Yours faithfully,

James Field

sharon barron, Gower College Swansea

Dear Mr Field,

Thank you for your request for information about visits to the College by UKBA and UK Visas and Immigration, which we received on 2 October 2014. Your request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act and we are responding within 20 working days of the day following the date of receipt.

The College has not received any visits from either of these agencies for the purpose of assessing the College's compliance with the sponsor licence.

If you are not content with the outcome of an internal review you have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision.

If you have any queries about this email or would like any further information about either your request or the Freedom of Information Act generally please do not hesitate to get in touch again by letter, email ([email address]) or telephone (01792 284222).

Yours sincerely
