Dear Teesside University,

Please answer the following questions in regards to the Tier 4 Sponsor

1) How many CAS's were assigned (Under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) between 5th July 2011 and 30th September 2011?
2) Of the CAS's assigned (Under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) to students between 5th July 2011 and 30th September 2011, how many were USED?
3) Of the CAS's assigned (Under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) to students between 5th July 2011 and 30th September 2011, whose CAS status is USED, how many students failed to Enroll at the University with their stipulated enrolment period?
4) Of the CAS's assigned (Under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) to students between 5th July 2011 and 30th September 2011, whose CAS status is USED but failed to Enroll at the University within their stipulated enrolment period, how many were Reported to the UKBA?
5) Of the total number of students as requested in (Question 4), how many failed to enroll because they were refused?

Dear Sir/Madam

 

In response to your request for information relating to Tier 4 visas,
please see Teesside University's responses to each of your questions
below.

  

1.       430 CAS were assigned (under the Tier 4 General Visa Category)
between 5th July 2011 and 30th September 2011.

2.         393 of the 430 CAS assigned (under the Tier 4 General Visa
Category) to students between 5th July 2011 and 30th September 2011 were
USED, based upon the most recent information supplied to us by the UKBA. 

3.       Of the 393 CAS assigned (under the Tier 4 General Visa Category)
to students between 5th July 2011 and 30th September 2011, whose CAS
status is USED, 13 students failed to enrol at the University within their
stipulated enrolment period. 

4.       Of the CAS assigned (under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) to
students between 5th July 2011 and 30th September 2011,  whose CAS status
is USED but failed to enrol at the University within their stipulated
enrolment period, all 13 have been  reported to the UKBA. 

5.       Of the total number of students as requested in Question 4 above,
8 failed to enrol because they were refused.  (Note: This figure is based
upon information provided to the University by the refused applicants not
by UKBA.)

6.        319 CAS were assigned (under the Tier 4 General Visa Category)
between 1st Oct 2011 and 31st January 2012.   

7.       190 CAS assigned (under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) to
students between 1st Oct 2011 and 31st January 2012 were USED, based upon
the most recent information supplied to us by the UKBA. 

8.       Of the 190 CAS assigned (under the Tier 4 General Visa Category)
to students between 1st Oct 2011 and 31st January 2012, whose CAS status
is known to be USED, 15 students failed to enrol at the University within
their stipulated enrolment period. 

9.       Of the CAS assigned (under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) to
students between 1st Oct 2011 and 31st January 2012, whose CAS status is
USED but failed to enrol at the University within their stipulated
enrolment period, all 15 have been  reported to the UKBA. 

10.   Of the total number of students as requested in (Question 9), 10
failed to enrol because they were refused.  (Note: This figure is based
upon information provided to the University by the refused applicants not
by UKBA.)
