Threat of legal action by Ex Councillor Wilce
Dear Cullompton Town Council,
There have been some disturbing reports in the press recently in relation to the above being denied entry to a Town Council finance meeting - an issue that has been allowed to persist even after it had been rejected by Mid Devon District Council's standards board
Please supply copy of all correspondence relating to this matter, to include those between the Council and Mr Wilce, those between the Council and MDDC's standards officer/committee and those internal to the council (including any relevant minutes).
This may be by email or paper copy or a combination as convenient.
Please also confirm if the Council are aware if this matter has been formally referred to the police
Yours faithfully,
Nigel Middlewick
Please find attached first response to FoI request
Kind regards
Judy Morris

Dear Judy,
To clarify
I would like all correspondence related to initial and subsequent complaints by Mr Wilce originating from his exclusion from the meeting and the council's handling of it - whether they be against the Council or individual Councillors.
This would include but is not limited to;
1/. The initial complaint, and any subsequent communication between the Council and Mr Wilce relating to that
2/. Any following complaint or communication relating to the handling of the complaint by the Council and any subsequent communication between the Council and Mr Wilce relating to that
3/. Any internal Council memos/letters or minutes relating to either the initial or subsequent complaint
4/. Any written discussion between councillors relating to either the initial or subsequent complaint. This to include paper or email communication, bearing in mind the recent clarification on email by the ICO.
I appreciate that minutes are available from the Council offices however this assumes knowledge of at which council meetings this was discussed.
The question of whether the Council is aware of a formal complaint to the police still stands
Yours sincerely,
Ngel

The Town Council has admitted that its' actions were unlawful AND has publicly apologised. It also admitted that it has been illegally preventing the public from attending its' meetings for decades - [Problematic material removed]

Thanks Judy,
As noted in the minutes, the decision of the council to discuss this in open council makes the initial complaint (at the very least) a public document.
On that basis and allowing for the redaction of Mr Wilce's (or any other person's) personal information I do not believe that this can or should be witheld.
Regards,
Nigel Middlewick

Mr Middlewick appears to be getting similar unfair treatment to me ref his FOI REquests but at lease they have put pen to paper on this matter. In my case TOTAL RADIO SILENCE.
It would appear to me that FOI DODGY DEALINGS are widespread across the County?!

Why was the said person allowed to make a speech and demand an apology at a recent council meeting when there was pending police investigation, Are the council therefore interfering in a process of a police investigation "
