We have been informed by the relevant department that it is not compulsory
for us to see insurance before granting planning permission, and therefore
we do not hold any such information.

Because all government agencies are required to assist oil and gas industry operations to maximize productivity unhindered, Lancashire County Council are doing the absolute minimum to enforce regulations that prioritise public health and wellbeing over the Oil and Gas Industry operators activities and potential profits.

So Lancashire County Council don't want to ask and haven't asked questions regarding shale gas operations Insurance arrangements.
