Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
Please consider this as a request for information in accordance with section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I read the BBC's partial response to RFI20191986 with great interest as it confirmed, for the first time that I am aware of, that TV Licensing sources third party information from Experian, Equifax, GBGroup and The Read Group.
The BBC has previously confirmed to me in its response to RFI20162341 that it uses data provided by Acxiom.
Under the terms of the Act please provide me with the following information:
- The headings and sub-headings of data provided to the BBC, or TV Licensing contractors acting on its behalf as Licensing Authority, by Experian, Equifax, GBGroup and The Read Group.
- The text of any contract and/or agreement between the BBC, or TV Licensing contractors acting on its behalf as Licensing Authority, relating to the supply of data by these companies.
Clearly I am only interested in data obtained from these third party companies in relation to the administration or enforcement of the TV licence.
I look forward to a timely and concise response to this request, as required by the relevant legislation.
