Dear Treasury,

The press reports today that the last Chief Secretary of the Treasury, Liam Byrne, left a letter for the current Chief Secretary, saying “Dear Chief Secretary, I’m afraid to tell you there's no money left”. Could you please provide a full copy (preferably a scanned image, or less preferably the full text) of this letter? Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Dr Kaihsu Tai
