The use of different measures of inflation

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Her Majesty’s Treasury should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Her Majesty’s Treasury,

Please can you let me have any (internal or published) documents (including letters and emails) that note, discuss or list the different actual or potential uses of the different inflation indices such as RPI, RPIX, CPI and so on?

Yours faithfully,

Simon Briscoe
