The unknown consequences of summary hearing convictions
Dear Ministry of Defence,
Since officers in our Armed Forces are so concerned about the state of the justice system, they feel they need to anonymously leak some of the problems to put things right http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/user/l_mow... and the fact that serious misconduct allegations are being filled unanswered, and the astonishing position of the MoD not knowing how many of its sailors, soldiers and airmen have criminal convictions from summary hearings http://www.theyworkforyou.com/wrans/?id=...
Are the MoD in any position to answer the following under the freedom of information request:-
1)Of all the summary hearing convictions that are recorded what percentage of people that have one actually know that they have one, or realise the implications of one (since denied legal advice)?
2)Of all the summary hearing convictions that are recorded what percentage of Commanding Officers that convicted the individual, how many knew that they had done so?http://www.channel4.com/news/fijian-born...
3) How many ex or serving servicemen have found problems in gaining employment in security, aviation, working or with children upon leaving the armed forces because of a criminal record?
4) How many ex or serving servicemen have applied to join the police and been refused on the grounds they have a criminal record from a summary hearing?http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/jo...
5) How many ex servicemen have had applications to become a teacher rejected because a summary hearing conviction (such assault occasioning actual bodily harm). http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/te...
6) How many ex servicemen have had to change foreign career plans or emigration decisions due to a summary hearing conviction?
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/tr...
7) How many ex serviceman have had problems adopting of fostering children due to a summary hearing conviction?

Dear Ministry of Defence,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Ministry of Defence's handling of my FOI request 'The unknown consequences of summary hearing convictions'. Particularly questions 1 & 2
I have obtained a copy of an internal army letter dated 27 July from the Directorate of Personal Services (Army) of which I would happily upload a link if required.
The letter points to there being some confusion as to the implications of a guilty finding for certain offences and that unit staff were not aware that a guilty finding would result in a conviction entry in the Police National Database.
Can I request the internal review team answer my questions, as I believe it is not requesting the MoD answer a question, provide an explanation or give an opinion.
Have the MoD assessed how many convictions have resulted in an entry in the Police National Database that the Sailor, Soldier or Airman is unaware of? If so can I have the findings, if not I personally believe its about time you should.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:

Dear DCDS PERS-SEC-FOI MAILBOX (MULTIUSER),
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/d...
This article suggests there is information held by the MoD, and that an assessment of at least 1,400 have been "targeted" due to criminal convictions. Can I request any impact assessment information the MoD has carried out? (My questions may be a little too specific, however any recorded information along the same lines would be appreciated).
Can I request an internal review as I believe the MoD does hold I information.
Yours sincerely,
