'The targeted lung health checks (TLHC) programme is a new and ground-breaking flagship programme of work in England which will contribute to the ambition of the NHS Long Term Plan to improve early diagnosis and survival for those diagnosed with cancer.'

'The programme will work with initially ten projects, but then expand to other Integrated Care Boards across England to deliver the programme. It is expected that this programme will run Nationally, covering all areas of England from 2024 onwards.'

Please supply the following information:

[1] Please supply the names of the ten projects that are participating in this initial phase of the Targeted Lung Health Check Programme

[2] When it says 'expand to other Integrated Care Boards' please confirm whether that means all Integrated Care Boards or a selection.

Our response to your FOI request

2.            NHS England intends to roll the TLHC programme out
nationally, to cover all of England.  

Following the 10 initial sites, additional sites have gone live in the

3.            There has not yet been a formal ministerial decision to
implement lung cancer screening nationally following the UK National
Screening Committee recommendation in 2022. However, Targeted Lung Health
checks are now operational in every Cancer Alliance in England. The number
of eligible participants invited will continue to expand during 2023/24.
