Dear Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner,
To: The Merseyside police press officer
To Whom it may concern
We are writing to your offices at the Police & Crime commissioner’s office for the following information under Freedom of information act .
I would like to know the following information
Many survivors and bereaved families said this fake news report by this inexperienced Liverpool echo reporter has upset many in Liverpool.
The story was "unacceptable" and lies by the Liverpool Echo and the reporter who now has said she got this as facts from within the Merseyside police?

Knife crime 'fuelled' by brutal Tory cuts to youth services across Liverpool
Knives crimes in Liverpool have risen by 130% since Conservatives came into power in 2010
By Jenny Kirkham Night reporter
Under the freedom of information act please supply the following.
1: What department in the Merseyside police had given or emailed this reporter [Jenny Kirkham] this report in which Did she add on to?
2. Who in the Merseyside police made up these knives crimes and why did the conservatives get the blame when in the fact this is lies?
3. Does the Merseyside police run any background checks on these Liverpool echo reporters who have very little experience in such matters?
The Merseyside police needs to know that the Liverpool Echo, has no understanding of the meaning of investigative journalism and a tiny group of these reporters sail to close to the wind with 3 PR agents who pass on information to them, which then could end up in the hands of the underworld. Names are all on record the police need to ask.
These are just some of the many comments from the public in Liverpool
Absolute garbage reporting, I thought it was only Leftie Liam who wrote such rubbish. "Tory cuts" have nothing to do with it, it is all down to parents shirking their responsibilities and neither knowing nor caring where their kids are or what they are up to.
I don't think that I have ever seen a worse piece of so called journalism in my life.
What an appalling piece of journalism

The Tories aren't to blame for rising knife crime.Ridiculous reporting from the "Liverpool" Echo
Is this Liam Thorpe's understudy? You sound like a kid blaming knife crime on the government to back up your personal left wing agenda. Nothing to do with feckless parents then? Now, if it were a labour government in power, what would your answer to the issue of knife crime be then?
