The Scottish Local Government Pension Scheme and its fiduciary duty to manage climate change risk

The request was successful.

Dear Aberdeen City Council,

I am contacting you with regards to research I am carrying out on behalf of UNISON, Common Weal and Friends of the Earth Scotland.

Further to your response to Ric Lander’s FoI request on 14 July 2016 regarding your pension fund’s engagement with climate change, I write to request further information.

The full FoI exchange can be found here:
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/t...

In response to the question of whether the pension committee has explicitly discussed the carbon bubble risk/implication of growing defaults and credit risk from fossil fuels, you say that ‘an external review was carried out by… KPMG. A full report on ESG factors was presented to Pensions Committee in December 2015’.

Please can you send me the report on ESG by KPMG and any other documentation that goes along with it, for example any records of actions taken.

Yours faithfully,
Felicity Monk
