According to the Electoral Commission's Guidance for Returning Officer's, an RO has the "authorisation to order the removal of persons from polling stations" under the law according to rule 33(2)(b) (authorisation to order removal of persons from polling station)

Please supply the following information:

Under what law/legislation does the RO have the power to refuse entry to an Accredited Electoral Observer at Local Government Election counts.

Please supply the exact legislation, section and relevant wording.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Freedom of Information,

Freedom of Information request F2017-12-4172. For your information:
I requested,
"Under what law/legislation does the RO have the power to refuse entry to an Accredited Electoral Observer at Local Government Election counts. Please supply the exact legislation, section and relevant wording."

A hyperlink, expecting me to wade through tons of information in order to look for something I specifically asked you for, is not a sufficient response. In any case, the hyperlink itself goes to a page that does NOT give the information I requested.

For the avoidance of doubt, I repeat "Please supply the exact legislation, section and relevant wording."

Until you give the above information, you have not carried out your obligations under the Freedom of Information Act, which means you are breaking the law, again.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Woods
