The provision of domiciliary care in Halton

The request was successful.

Dear Halton Borough Council,

The population of Halton will only have a single supplier of domiciliary care from November 2017.
Has the council adequate provisions for a failure of the allocated company in place.

Is the council fully confident that the staff of the company has adequate training in the administration of their duties including medicines and physiotherapy when needed.

Has the council the confidence that the company will only use direct labour with freedom to be a member of a trade union or not.

What percentage of the over 65s receiving domiciliary care, pay 10% to 50%, 51% to 75%, 76% to 100% of the cost. Will the costing be administered by the company or by the council.

What auditing facilities are in place for the performance of the company.

Yours faithfully,

James A Owen
