Dear Inverclyde Council,

In relation to the Prevent Strategy, can you please provide the following information:

Do you currently have a Protect Professional Concern (PPC) group in place?

Can you indicate what agencies that are represented on the PPC and which agency chairs the PPC?

Can you confirm how many occasions your PPC has met?

Can you indicate the number of referrals made to your PPC and whether they were seen as appropriate?

How many off these referrals were considered relevant by the PPC?

Where relevant how many action plans where put into place and was the subject an active participants in the planning processes ?

Can you indicate how the impact of actions taken are measured by your PPC

Dear Mr Dunbar

 

I refer to your email of 8 December 2016 requesting that the following
information relating to the Prevent Strategy be provided to you:

 

1.      Do you currently have a Protect Professional Concern (PPC) group
in place?

 

2.      Can you indicate what agencies that are represented on the PPC and
which agency chairs the PPC?

Taking each part of your request in turn I can advise as follows:

 

1.      No.  There is no specific PPC group in place.  A PPC group would
be convened to consider a particular referral.

 

2.      In accordance with guidance and legislation, Inverclyde Council
would chair the group.  Police Scotland and Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS
Board would be represented along with any other relevant agencies
depending upon the nature of the referral.

The Council accordingly feels that it has complied in full with your
