Dear Andy Green,

 

Thank you for you FOI request in respect of the Parks Police Service
operated by The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.  The Service is
operated as a Shared Service in conjunction with The London Borough of
Hammersmith and Fulham on the basis of a 52% contribution from LBHF and a
48% contribution from RBKC. The Service covers ninety parks across the two
boroughs from 0700 to 2300 daily.

 

·        The Service employs 27 (FTE) staff

·        All Staff are appointed as Constables under S.18 Ministry of
Housing & Local Government (Provisional Order Confirmation) Greater London
Parks and Open Spaces Act 1967

·        Rank Structure – 1 Chief Officer (Inspector)  3 Sergeants, 23
Constables

·        Vehicle Fleet – 4 X Dacia Duster SUV’s; 1 Renault Kangoo electric
Van; 10 pedal cycles; 1 electric pedal cycle.
