Dear South Wales Police and Crime Panel,

I am writing to respectfully make a request in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. My request is as follows:-

1) Please, can you provide a list of all employee roles who are employed by your authority and are subject to the provisions as set out in the Official Secrets Acts 1911-1989?

This can be provided in any format, however, a spreadsheet detailing each role and a mark as to whether the role requires the role holder to sign a declaration as to their recognition of being bound thus required to comply with the Act(s).

2) Please provide a disclosure of the format used by your authority which requires the signature of any role holder who is subject to provisions as set out in the Official Secrets Acts 1911-1989 such as an "Official Secrets Acts & Confidentiality Declaration"

RE:     Freedom Of Information Act 2000 – INFORMATION Request

 

We acknowledge your request on behalf of the South Wales Police and Crime
Panel for information about The Official Secrets Act received by the Data
Disclosure and Records Officer on 19^th November 2019.

 

This request is being processed by Merthyr Tydfil CBC on behalf of the
South Wales Police and Crime Panel. We are considering your request and
you will receive the Panels full response within the statutory timescale
of 20 working days, which in this instance is no later than 17^th December
2019, unless the information is exempt or we require additional time to
consider whether disclosure is in the public interest in accordance with
Section 2 of the Freedom of Information Act.  

 

The [1]Act defines a number of exemptions which may prevent release of the
information you have requested. Before we provide the information we will
consider whether it is proper to release it and if any of the exemption
categories do apply then the information may not be released. We will tell
you if this is the case, and you will have a right of appeal. If the
information you request contains reference to a third party then they may
be consulted prior to a decision being taken on whether or not to release
the information to you; we will tell you if this is the case. You may have
to pay a fee for this information; we will consider this and let you know.
If a fee is applicable the Council will issue you with a Fees Notice. The
20 working day time limit will not start until we receive your payment. If
