As previously stated we have dealt with your request under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. 

We can confirm that we do not hold any recorded information in the scope
of your request. 

Telephone calls to the ICO helpline are not audio recorded and we have not
and do not record whether or not calls relate to PPI. 

It might assist you to note that the ICO regulates the Data Protection Act
1998 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000 - it does not have direct
responsibility for PPI.

Whilst on this occasion we have not been able to provide any recorded
information in response to your request I hope this response is of some
interest.

However,  If you are dissatisfied with the response you have received and
wish to request a review of our decision or make a complaint about how
your request has been handled you should write to the Information
Governance Department at the address below or e-mail

Your request for internal review should be submitted to us within 40
