Request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act)
The council has considered your request which was received 25 January 2023 and
our response to your questions is shown below.
a) The number of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) issued for parking violations
in the 2022 calendar year, specifically those matching each of the following
contravention codes:

The council has determined that this information is exempt from disclosure in
accordance with section 21(1) of the Act as it is reasonably accessible to you by other
means and publicly available.
Details of Penalty Charge Notices issued in Nottingham City are published online, you
can filter the data by contravention to identify the requested information:

The council has relied on sections 16 and 21 of the Act, as it is providing you with
advice and assistance by directing you to our website where you can find the
requested information. Please accept this letter as a refusal notice issued in
accordance with section 17 of the Act.
b) I also request, if available, the number of car parking spaces within all
council-owned car parks.
The council has determined that this information is exempt from disclosure in
accordance with section 21(1) of the Act as it is reasonably accessible to you by other
means and publicly available.
The council publish our Parking Accounts every year. Details on the number of
spaces in the city centre car parks can be found on page 11 and car park spaces
outside the city centre can be found on page 5 of the latest report:
