The number of NHS staff that have returned to practice
Lauren A. Smithson made this Freedom of Information request to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn, NHS Foundation Trust
Dear The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn, NHS Foundation Trust,
Under the Freedom Of Information Act, I would like to request data on the number of Health Practitioners that have returned to the NHS under your Foundation Trust to support it during COVID-19, including retired practitioners who have returned to service and those who have rejoined the NHS.
Dear Ms Smith,
Many thanks for your FOI request which is receiving attention.

Further to our recent acknowledgement the information requested is as follows. We cannot be sure what the precise reasons for a member of staff joining or re-joining are but we can advise that since the start of the Covid outbreak we have had:
1. One doctor who came out of retirement and another both who joined us specifically to help us manage during the outbreak.
2. During the same period we have had 189 other healthcare staff join and 86 non-clinical.
...but we do not have a specific centrally recorded of note of the exact reason for each member of staff's joining.
