• How many individual referrals to Children’s Social Care Services were made in your Local Authority, involving suspected Fabricated and Induced Illness (FII) and/or Muchausens By Proxy Syndrome (MBPS) in 2017?

• In those referrals involving suspected FII or MBPS in 2017, how are they defined to be genuine cases of FII or MBPS?

• Please provide a breakdown of the overall number of these referrals involving suspected FII or MBPS in 2017, by the type of organisation that made the initial referral. For the NHS and Local Authority categories, please break down by clinic/department.

The City of London (CoL) acknowledges receipt of your request for
information of 9 April 2018.
 
Public authorities are required to respond to requests within the
statutory timescale of 20 working days beginning from the first working

The FOIA applies to the CoL as a local authority, police authority and
port health authority. The CoL is the local and police authority for the
“Square Mile”, ie the historic City of London, and not for London as a
