The number of Allotments in uttoxeter area

We're waiting for hayley laud to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear East Staffordshire Borough Council,

Please would you acknowledge this request.

As of August 2022, please could you tell me:

1) How many allotment sites are there in East Staffordshire for which the Council has access to waiting list data? In particularly just the uttoxeter area?

2) What is the total number of plots on these sites?

3) What is the total number of people on waiting lists for these sites?

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?

5) How many new council allotment sites were brought into use in 2021? Please give:
a) number of new sites
b) names of new sites
c) total area of new land in hectares
d) total number of new plots

6) Are there any current plans to extend or gain new allotment sites in the uttoxeter area?

Yours faithfully,
Hayley laud

Liz Eastaugh, East Staffordshire Borough Council

Dar Hayley

I thank you for your enquiry dated 12th August 2002 and I can reply as follows.

The Council does not own the majority of the allotment sites within the Borough, they are owned by the Parish Councils and the Council does not have access to the information requested.

A number are owned by the Borough Council but are leased to allotment associations who have the day to day conduct of the sites and the Council does not have access to the information which has been requested.

I refer to the new council allotment sites which have been brought into use by the Borough Council. There have been no new Council allotment sites brought into use in 2021. There are no current plans to extend or gain new allotment sites in Uttoxeter.

Kind regards
