Dear Kent County Council,

I’m requesting under the Freedom of Information Act 2000

Your specific guidelines of required supported accommodation for The Regional Framework for Supported Accommodation for all type of Supports for the following as below:

Age Groups: 16-17 year old, 18-24 years old 25-65 years old and 65+

Service User bands: Dementia, Mental Health, Learning disabilities or autistic disorder, Physical disability; supported living

1. Please provide me with the List of Foster care homes, supported living units, designated residential accomodation, mental health units in Bromley and their service providers for these.

2. What is the weekly cost inclusive of support hours and accommodation for
placing a child 16 to 18 years , for placing an adult 18 to 24 years and for
placing an adult 18-65, 65+ within supported accommodation.

3. Please provide the weekly cost for the following support hours 5, 10 and
15 hours for all age groups mentioned above.

4. How does a Service Providers get on your Approved Service providers List

4. How does a Service Provider register on your Supported Accommodation Regional Framework. Please provide me with link or contact details of the person responsible for your referrals for all Age Groups mentioned above.

appreciate that KCC has failed to comply with statutory timescales on this

response relates solely to those services commissioned by KCC and does not
include those that exist outside our commissioning activity. Please see

Kent County Council does not commission Foster Care Homes for Children and
Young People

Information regarding other accommodation is available from the following
sources:

Care Homes and Registered Accommodation services including Mental Health
units can be found on the CQC website [2]https://cqc.org.uk/ The CQC
provide downloadable lists detailing registered services across England
including information about the service providers.

 

Care homes for adults in Kent can also be found on the online care

Supported Living over 18’s – Kent County Council commissions a number of
providers to deliver Supported Living across Kent. There are many types of
accommodation which fit under this title and will not necessarily be
registered separately with the CQC. Types of accommodation range from
single self-contained units to larger shared accommodation, often referred
to as just their address. These units are under tenancy agreements to the
individuals residing at the address. To identify them could constitute a
breach of the individual’s personal data, and put vulnerable residents at
risk of harm.

 

 2. What is the weekly cost inclusive of support hours and accommodation
for placing a child 16 to 18 years , for placing an adult 18 to 24
years and for placing an adult 18-65, 65+ within supported
accommodation.

For young people aged 16-18, the weekly cost inclusive of support would be
dependent on the needs of each young person

Adults costs for supported accommodation are given below:

18-64 65+
Average Weekly Cost for Supported Accommodation £155.66 £96.84

 

3. Please provide the weekly cost for the following support hours 5, 10
and 15 hours for all age groups mentioned above.

            Kent County Council does not commission support for young
people in this way.

Adults costs are given below for supported accommodation only. These costs
do not apply to older persons residential.

4. How does a Service Providers get on your Approved Service providers
List

 Details of how to tender for upcoming opportunities for Children Young
People and Adults can be found on

For Adults services that include Mental Health and Learning Disabilities,
Kent County Council commissions organisations to provide these services
through a framework commissioning process, the current framework is now
closed pending a retendering exercise due to commence October 2019.

Older Persons’ Residential and Nursing services are contracted on a
Dynamic Purchasing system, meaning that providers who wish to are able to
join this framework at any point during the contract.

 

4. How does a Service Provider register on your Supported Accommodation
Regional Framework. Please provide me with link or contact details of the
person responsible for your referrals for all Age Groups mentioned above.

There is no Regional Framework for Supported Accommodation. All
opportunities are advertised on [5]www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk
