The emotional and mental toll on patients failing a WCA / being refused ESA and being forced to face an appeal.

Department of Health did not have the information requested.

Dear Department of Health,

I would be grateful if you could provide any information / evidence relating to the emotional and mental toll on claimants (NHS patients) failing a Work Capability Assessment / being refused ESA and being forced to face an appeal, often unsupported.

Is any department of the NHS / any Ministers from the Health Department concerned at the emotional and mental toll resulting from the process described above?

Does the NHS have any information or statistics regarding the number of suicides resulting from failed WCAs / ESA being refused to applicants?

Does this concern the Ministry for Heath / NHS? I.e.: I would like to see all relevant documents.

Thank you,

Yours faithfully,

[P. Smith].
