This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Belfast Harbour Police should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Belfast Harbour Police,

I am writing with concern to request any details you can provide about the detention of Patricia O'Neil, and the interrogation she co-operated with, both with the HMP Maghaberry staff and the Belfast police staff. This took place in September 2011. Can you comment on the style of interrogation, the size of the room, number of officers present, procedures followed, purpose of interrogation, and records kept on file with your office related to that interview. Did you keep a taped recording, paper recording, point form notes, etc. All details would be appreciated including length of interview. Also, was your office aware that she had been also interviewed/ interrogated by HMP Maghaberry staff? Can you clarify whether you would classify your questioning of her as an "interrogation" or an "interview" and would say your style of questioning was 'military' in style and intention. If your interview style was 'military' what military office guided and informed your style of interview? Can you comment on the communications between Belfast Police staff and Maghaberry staff related specifically to the questioning and brief incarceration of Patricia O'Neil in September 2011?

Thank you very much for your time and careful consideration of this important information. Thank you for your dedication to public safety.

Yours faithfully,

Leanne Flynn
