As the Home Office's response shows that the FCO uploaded the news article, I have directed my FOI request to the FCO: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/t...

It was an interesting (but prompt) response to begin with...

BritCits left an annotation ()

In the 'delay letter' they refer to it taking time to collate information and redact it...yet they only seem to have sent one email trail which will have required no collation at all. There also must have been subsequent emails to that?

May also be worth asking for internal emails exchanged in response to your FOI request on this where they will have discussed what to say. Interesting reading!

Finally, what are the public interest reasons that would allow them to not provide information. Terrorism for example would be one. What else?

Clarke Simpson left an annotation ()

That is actually a good point BritCits. Somebody said to me that if they released this they could well be trying to cover up bigger things... and this release could be an attempt to throw me off the trail.

I am tempted to make a request relating to the handling of my case. However, I noticed that they delayed another what do they know user's request as he had an active internal review request.

I will add the request to my current request. And make them aware of your own input.

I was glad to read the apology on Twitter for your groups member. I was tempted to highlight said apology to the fco. I don't expect that the person had any compensation. I do note that the plane crash font got a substantial pay out.

Dear Home Office,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

Your delay letter emphasised that you were collating information. You only supplied a single email trail. This leads to the belief that further information exists. This is not only the belief of myself. But many others, who I have since discussed this request with.

The time taken to redact the information provided does not constitute a prompt response.

I understand that this is a separate foi request. However. In order to minimise the workload on your department. I would hope that you could dispatch two requests on one email.

In any event. You should hold the requested data/information readily available.

Please provide all communication and case notes/files. Both internal and external in relation to my foi request.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/t...

I wonder. How can somebody earning close to sixty grand claim to have the right to privacy in relation to their name. Surely a CPO in the Home Office is classed as a senior member of staff with that kinda pay packet? http://www.glassdoor.com/Salaries/london...

Wayne Pearsall left an annotation ()

And as for the right to privacy, let me clarify this: The Chief Press Officer in the Home Office news desk is Hannah Fletcher - Hannah.fletcher [@] homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk - There are multiple Press Officers.

Wayne Pearsall left an annotation ()

Note: Hannah is actually listed as "Senior Information Officer" but same difference: https://gcn.civilservice.gov.uk/wp-conte...

Dear Home Office,

I am writing to request an internal review of Home Office's handling of my FOI request 'The Copyright Infringment on MM Appeal News'.

Further to my request to yourselves for an Internal Review of my request 31480 previously, I have been given a response by the FCO.

You can read this response here: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/t...

It is clear that the home office have withheld information which they store. Various emails between the home office and FCO which you did not include, have been included by the FCO.

Absolutely idiotic and completely unhelpful response. HO clearly decided not to provide the info and then spent hours of taxpayers time manufacturing reasons to hold this info back - reeks of a cover up. It seems they palmed some of this info onto FCO - have you contacted them?

The attachment "R 140424 1007.pdf " particularly telling.
