The caution
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
Could you please tell me the following.
When a TV Licencing Debt collector, sales agent, enforcement person uses the caution "you do not have to say anything but it may harm your defense if you do not mention when questioned something which you may later rely on in court, anything you do say may be given in evidence.
why do the private companies you employ use the caution?
Could you also provide me with the guidelines on administering the caution.
Yours faithfully,
Alan Ford
