The Cafcass Child Impact Assessment Framework (CIAF)
Dear Children and Family Court Advisory Support Service,
1. Please provide a full copy of your Child Impact Assessment Framework (CIAF) including all tools referenced within or by it. A full zip file or set of zip files is acceptable.
2. Please provide a copy of any training materials that specifically relate to the Child Impact Assessment Framework (CIAF). Copies of original Storyboards are acceptable in any format that is easy for you to supply.
3. Please provide the numbers of Cafcass employees, preferably broken down by service area, that have undertaken each training material item contained in (2) above in 2018.
4. Please provide copies of all internal memorandums and emails from Anthony Douglas that contain the phrase "The Cafcass Child Impact Assessment Framework" or "CIAF"
5. Please provide copies of all internal memorandums and emails from Sarah Parsons that contain the phrase "The Cafcass Child Impact Assessment Framework" or "CIAF"
6. In your press release published on your website at

you state: "CIAF was informed by an internal advisory group of 40 practitioners, led by Cafcass’ Assistant Director and Principal Social Worker, Sarah Parsons, as well as input from sector experts and family justice partners". Please provide a full list of the sector experts and family justice partners that you received input from.
7. In that same press release you state that "CIAF was informed by an internal advisory group of 40 practitioners, led by Cafcass’ Assistant Director and Principal Social Worker, Sarah Parsons"
- Please provide a copy of any internal communication sent to your employees to encourage them to join the internal advisory group.
- Please also provide the gender breakdown of the member of said advisory group
- Please confirm whether any members of this advisory group have been the subject of any complaint made to Cafcass or to HCPC in the last 36 months.
8. In that same press release you state "award-winning Domestic Abuse Practice Pathway". Please detail which awards have been won and which organisations or groups awarded them along with the dates for each award.
9. Please confirm the date and details of the first use of the Child Impact Assessment Framework (CIAF), whether as a trial or otherwise, and regardless of whether, at the time, it was known or called by you by a different name.
10. Please confirm whether, prior to today's press release and publication, you have shared this Child Impact Assessment Framework (CIAF) with any Government Departments, Ministers and/or MPs, and provide their names and dates along with copies of any supporting documentation that you supplied to them along with or separately to the Child Impact Assessment Framework (CIAF) itself.
11. Please confirm whether the Child Impact Assessment Framework (CIAF) was shared with the Family Justice Board and if so, on what date.
12. Please confirm whether the Child Impact Assessment Framework (CIAF) was shared (prior to today) with either the outgoing Family Division President and Head of Family Justice or the current Family Division President and Head of Family Justice, and if so, on what dates
13. Please confirm whether the Child Impact Assessment Framework (CIAF) was shared (prior to today) with Women's Aid, and if so, on what dates.
14. Please confirm whether the Child Impact Assessment Framework (CIAF) was shared (prior to today) with anyone from NSPCC, and if so, on what dates.
