Dear British Army,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of the British Army's handling of my FOI request, 'The British Army and 'Raw Recruits 2''. Reference: FOI2023/13064
The initial request was made on 12 October 2023, and a response was given on 27 October 2023. I was required to provide a form of identification to the MoD, which I did. Once this was done, the reply was made on 27 November 2023, informing me that a full response would be delayed until 21 December 2023 and, if not, then at a later date. After this, I had to prompt the British Army to respond on 9 January 2024, as they never responded on 21 December 2023, to which I was told a response would be given on 15 January 2024 - it was not. I then had to prompt the British Army three times (23 Jan, 30 Jan, and 7 Feb) for a response to tell me a reply would be given on 8 February 2024, which it was not. I did not receive a response and had to prompt the British Army again on 18 February 2024; they replied on 21 February 2024, stating a reply would be ready by 4 March 2024. A response, once again, did not arrive when scheduled and came a day after I prompted them, again, on 6 March 2024. Now, no set date has been given for a response rather, the British Army is informing me that "a response will be sent
at the earliest opportunity".
One request, which is not substantial at all and relatively easy to locate, has taken over four months of correspondence, and the records requested have not been provided. Please review this ongoing request.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/t...
Yours faithfully,
Tarik Ata
