The BBCs definition of the term 'hard left' and 'far left'
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
I notice that many of your political commentators and presenters use the term 'hard left' or 'extreme left' or 'far left' when referencing Jeremy Corbyn's standing or his supporters in the Labour party.
Could you please tell me the following;
(1) What definition of the above used terms are the BBC using (as in how does the BBC define those terms/words)?
(2) Once the BBC has described those terms/words set out in part 1, what criteria is being used for the BBC to label that term to Jeremy Corbyn and his supporters.
Yours faithfully,
Philip Deans
