Thamesdown Drive to Ifley road historical work

kevin fisher made this Freedom of Information request to Swindon Borough Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The authority would like to / has responded by postal mail to this request.

Dear Swindon Borough Council,

At the time of the North Swindon expansion being approved in the late 1990's it was proposed to build what is now Thamesdown Drive. This road terminates at Purton road in the south and was always planned to continue to Great Western Way.
I would like to receive information on the missing part of the link (Purton road to Great Western Way). This should include the original survey for the road, its costing and route. Also any documentation explaining why it was not built and what happened to the S106 money set aside for it.
Additionally, I would like to receive any correspondence between SBC and government in the period from the original proposals to the current date requesting funding for the road.

Yours faithfully,
Kevin Fisher
