Testing of beef consumed in wrexham's school meals
Dear Wrexham County Borough Council,
My questions concern the public interest in the national & european horsemeat & pork products in food products labelled as Beef scandal.
1.
a) How many times in the last 12 months has the contents of Wrexham County Borough Council school meals been tested to check that products labelled as beef, do contain 100% beef?
b) If yes, what were the results?
2.
a) What tests in the last 12 months have been carried on food stuffs labelled as beef in Wrexham County Borough Council school meals?
b) If yes, what were the results?
3.
a) What plans have Wrexham County Borough Council put in place concerning the serving of school meals since the recent Horsemeat scandal?
b) What clearly defined indicators have been decided upto judge that the plans are a success?
Yours faithfully,
David Wayne Price

A supplementary question that should be asked is how much of the meat purchased is mixed fresh and frozen in the same batch as this is a practice that occurs with Tesco 'Finest' mince

Your FOIA request may have hit home! Heard today that some schools in Wrexham CBC have ceased serving beef.
