Dear Haringey Borough Council,

The report 'Housing Delivery Programme' (Housing and Regeneration Scrutiny Panel, 4 November 2019) contains Appendix 1 – Sites with Cabinet approval for development as part of the current programme – 31 October 2019.

This shows the estimated number of council homes for each site, with the total figure of 989.

We understand the Housing Delivery Programme will deliver mixed tenure housing, due to funding constraints.

1. Please provide the estimated number of council Social Rent homes for each site, intermediate (discounted market rent) homes for each site, and market sale homes for each site, and any other tenure (please specify details) for each site, with the totals for each tenure for the whole programme.

2. Please provide the numbers and tenures of all homes which may be demolished, for each site; with the total of such potential demolitions for the whole programme.

I am fully aware that the data which has been requested under both Questions is in estimated and indicative form.

Can you please provide the reference number and the expected date of response for this request.

I wish this request to be responded to via What Do They Know, please.

With thanks

Yours faithfully,

Paul Burnham

Dear Mr Burnham,

Re: Freedom of Information Act Request ref: LBH/9404819

Thank you for your request for information, received on 6 December 2019,
in which you asked for the following:

1.Please provide the estimated number of council Social Rent homes for
each site, intermediate (discounted market rent) homes for each site, and
market sale homes for each site, and any other tenure (please specify
details) for each site, with the totals for each tenure for the whole
programme.

2.Please provide the numbers and tenures of all homes which may be
demolished, for each site; with the total of such potential demolitions
for the whole programme.

My response is as follows:

1.This has yet to be determined. The split between different tenures on
each scheme will be decided as plans for that site are developed. Each
scheme will be subject to formal decisions through the Planning process
and at Cabinet, before construction commences.

2. Within the current approved Housing Delivery Programme, there are five
sites with existing homes. With the exceptions of the two blocks on
Broadwater Farm which are being demolished for health and safety reasons,
there is no decision at this time to demolish any other homes.

Dear Haringey Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Haringey Council's handling of my FOI request 'Tenure breakdown - Housing Delivery Programme'.

The answer which has been provided to my Q1 is not acceptable, for the following reasons:

The content of the first two sentences I already know and agree with. The third sentence is irrelevant to the question asked.

The question asks for the estimated numbers of proposed new homes of all tenures.

The Council document referred to in my Question shows the "Estimated number of Council homes" for each site. I believe that these figures relate to council rented homes only, and I would be grateful if you could clarify this point.

We agree without question that these numbers are indicative, and will be subject to change within the development process.

We know that the Housing Delivery Programme is a mixed tenure programme. If the "Estimated" totals in the published report relate to council rented homes only, then I believe that the Council also holds figures for the indicative or "Estimated" numbers of homes of the other tenures, which I am asking for in this request.

Can you please reconsider your answer, and provide the requested information if you can, according to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/t...
