1) Please can you provide the following information on your Temporary Accommodation Placement Numbers:
a) As of 31st March 2023 how many households in total were in temporary accommodation placements made by your Local Housing Authority?
b) Of that total, (a above) how many of those placements were made within your Local Housing Authority area?
c) Of that total (a above) how many of those placements were made in a different Local Housing Authority area?
d) Please provide a breakdown (of c above) showing the number of temporary accommodation placements by each different named local housing authority area

2. Do you own property or have a lease arrangement for properties in different housing authority areas that you use for temporary accommodation placements? If yes, please provide a breakdown showing number of units by each different named Local Housing Authority area.

Subject: Temporary Accommodation Placements

Your request is being considered and you will receive a response within
the statutory timescale of 20 working days, subject to the application of
any exemptions. Where consideration is being given to exemptions the 20
working day timescale may be extended to a period considered reasonable
depending on the nature and circumstances of your request. In such cases
you will be notified and, where possible, a revised time-scale will be
indicated. In all cases we shall attempt to deal with your request at the

Answer - We are unable to provide you the data as of 31 March 2023 but can
provide the data as of 15 February. The total number of households in
temporary accommodation is – 3318.

b) Of that total, (a above) how many of those placements were made within
your Local Housing Authority area?

Answer – In Croydon – 2526 placements.

c) Of that total (a above) how many of those placements were made in a
different Local Housing Authority area?

Answer – Outside of Croydon – 792

d) Please provide a breakdown (of c above) showing the number of temporary
accommodation placements by each different named local housing authority
