Temporary accommodation on Lambeth council estates

The request was partially successful.

Dear Lambeth Borough Council,

This FOI concerns the use of Lambeth Council owned accommodation as temporary accommodation. We are aware for example that Lambeth Council owned properties on Central Hill and Cressingham Garden estates are being used as temporary accommodation; however other Lambeth Council owned housing (on and off estates) is likely to be used as temporary accommodation.

Please provide the following information:

Q1) All policy, guidance and documents regarding the use of council owned properties as temporary accommodation

Q2) The following details for all council owned properties let as temporary accommodation from 1st July to 19/01/25:

a - the name of the estate, or if not on an estate, the 4-digit postcode (eg. "SW4 8")
b - the date it was offered (if this is not possible, then the month of the offer)
c - the number of bedrooms
d - the priority group of the household the accommodation was offered to [in accordance with the council's Placement Policy, eg Group B etc.]
e - whether there were any children in the household who had a Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in a school in the borough area of Lambeth

Q3) The details for all council owned properties that are intended to be offered as temporary accommodation (ie. in to be offered the future, after 19/01/25):

a - the name of the estate, or if not on an estate, the 4-digit postcode (eg. "SW4 8")
b - the expected date for letting (could be the month it is expected to be ready for letting)
c - the number of bedrooms

Yours faithfully,

Jo Staines
