Thank you for your Freedom of Information requests, which were received by
both South Oxfordshire District Council and Vale of White Horse District
Councils, logged under 23/35 (SOUTH) & 23/33 (VALE). Please note that the
two councils operate as a shared service hence this joint response.
Under Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 2000 Act) you
are entitled to be informed in writing whether the council holds the
information specified in your request and, if that is the case, to have
that information communicated to you unless any of the statutory
exemptions apply. I have considered your request and can confirm we do
hold some of the information asked and I do not believe any of the
statutory exemptions apply to your request. Please find below the
information you requested:
1. How many properties do you currently have on Temporary Accommodation?
South Oxfordshire District Council has 2 houses that are used for
temporary accommodation, as well as access to 2 hostels owned by Vale of
White Horse District Council. It also uses housing association properties
as temporary accommodation – currently, there are 2 in use. If these are
not available, the council uses hotel rooms to accommodate homeless
clients.
Vale of White Horse District Council has 2 hostels comprising 16 rooms
which are used for temporary accommodation, as well as 3 other houses. It
also uses housing association properties as temporary accommodation –
currently, there is 1 in use. If these are not available, the council uses
hotel rooms to accommodate homeless clients.
2. Please can you advise us on the maximum that is paid per night for a
Studio, 1 Bed, 2 Bed, 3 Bed & 4 Bed.

The councils use their own accommodation units wherever possible. However,
if additional accommodation is required, the 3 suppliers are: Premier Inn,

you are not satisfied with the decision I have made in response to your
request, you can make a request for an internal review by emailing
