Freedom of Information Request RFI-8979-24 Re: Temporary Accommodation

Further to your request for information about Temporary Accommodation, I
can tell you the following:

This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act
2000.

Please can you provide the following information relating to the Council’s
provision of temporary accommodation:

1.     The number of reviews into the suitability of temporary
accommodation carried out in response to a request made in the period
01/04/2022 to 31/03/2024. For the avoidance of doubt, I refer to a review
of suitability in response to the housing applicant’s request under
s.202(1)(g) of the Housing Act 1996. This may also be referred to as a
s202 review.

2.     Can you please group the reviews by how long they took, in days, to
be completed. This could be in a table showing the number of reviews which
took 7 days to complete, 8 days to complete, etc. There is no need to
provide blank rows (e.g. if no reviews took 9 days), just for the total
number of reviews to match the figure provided in response to point 1 of
this request.

3.     Can you provide the totals of the various outcomes for these
reviews. For example, how many placements were found to be unsuitable, how
many suitable, and any other categories you use.

4.     And please, unless this specific part of the request takes the work
over the cost exemption, provide the number of suitability reviews that
found the accommodation contained Category 1 hazards. If the cost
exemption is breached by inclusion of this point (4), then please confine
your response to points 1-3.
