Telephone Number

Mark Ritchie made this Freedom of Information request to Ministry of Justice

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Waiting for an internal review by Ministry of Justice of their handling of this request.

Dear Ministry of Justice,

I have asked you repeatedly for a number of years to take you to task over the incarceration of innocent people yet you have ducked and dived and tried to avoid me. Your number is bogus also which is basically a switchboard owned by a french company who does your dirty work because you havent got the guts to face the public. When put through to them, they will tell you they are not the MOJ and cannot help any further. So i will ask again now on here:-

1. Your telephone number, not 02033343555 as that is not your number.
2. Your policy on speaking directly to members of the public. All of it.
3. The list of senior staff at the MOJ who are entrusted to oversee miscarriages of justice and the court system, specifically the crown court and appeal court.

Yours faithfully,

Mark Ritchie

Dear Ministry of Justice,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

Dear Wilson, Guy,

I was quite clear as to what i asked for. I asked for a telephone number so i can speak directly to an MOJ employee who deals with miscarriages of justice and also what rules are in place for when a court clerk lies to a defendant.

You also did not explain why you are late in responding to this request. Do you think its appropriate to flout the law when your corrupt branch of government is encrusted with the enforcement of law?? No appology, no explanation, nothing.

Dont worry, its in the hands of the commissioner now and you can explain your flouting of FOI law to them.

Yours sincerely,

Mark Ritchie

Dear Wilson, Guy,

You also state that the MOJ is independent of the courts. That is not true and you know it. The courts and judges have to obey government legislation. Decision making still has to be within the confines set out by parliament. I will ask you to prove me wrong.

Yours sincerely,

Mark Ritchie

Dear Ministry of Justice,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Ministry of Justice's handling of my FOI request 'Telephone Number'.

The number you provide is not for the MOJ. It is for SSCL which is unconnected to the MOJ.

It is in conceivable that you would not have a policy for dealing with court staff including clerks when they breach legislation. You obviously have a code of practice they must follow and also disciplinary procedures when they are needed.

You are a disgrace. You cant even say sorry for flouting FOI law by giving such late responses. Hang your head in shame.

Dear Ministry of Justice,
