Dear Blaby District Council,

Please can you give me the name of your telephony and communications provider and tell me when the current contract with this supplier ends. I would also like to know who within the council is responsible for telecoms strategy.

Please could you also tell me whether you have an audio/video conferencing provider and, if so, who this is, and the name of your contact centre/inbound calls provider.

I acknowledge your request for information received on the 14^th April
2014. We are treating your request as being made under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (“the Act”). You have requested: 

 

Please can you give me the name of your telephony and communications
provider and tell me when the current contract with this supplier ends. I
would also like to know who within the council is responsible for telecoms
strategy.

 

Please could you also tell me whether you have an audio/video conferencing
provider and, if so, who this is, and the name of your contact
centre/inbound calls provider.

 

Your request is being considered and you will receive the information
requested within the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by
the Freedom of Information Act 2000, subject to the information not being
exempt or containing a reference to a third party.

 

If appropriate, the information may be provided in paper copy, normal font
size. If you require alternative formats, e.g. language, audio, large
print, etc. then please let me know.

 

For your information, the Act defines a number of exemptions which may
mean that the Council is not obliged to release all or part the
information you have requested. Where we consider that an exemption
applies and we decide not to release information, we will explain our
decision to you and let you know about your rights of appeal.

 

If the information you request contains reference to a third party then
they may be consulted prior to a decision being taken on whether or not to
release the information to you. You will be informed if this is the case.

 

There may a fee payable for this information. This will be considered and
you will be informed if a fee is payable. In this event the fee must be
paid before the information is processed and released. The 20 working day
time limit for responses is suspended until receipt of the payment.

 

The information that we provide in response to requests for information is
subject to copyright protection. The copyright is owned by either the
Council or a third party. Simply because the information is available
under the legislation does not mean the Council or the third party has
waived its copyright.

Re: Freedom of Information Request

 

Please find enclosed a response to your Freedom of Information request.

 

Please can you give me the name of your telephony and communications
provider and tell me when the current contract with this supplier ends. I
would also like to know who within the council is responsible for telecoms
strategy. The authority uses an Alcatel Telephony System, supported by
Nexteria One.  The contract is due to expire 14/2/2015.  Paul Langham –
Shared ICT Manager is responsible for the Telecoms Strategy.

 

Please could you also tell me whether you have an audio/video conferencing
provider and, if so, who this is, and the name of your contact
centre/inbound calls provider. There is a Leicestershire wide (including
Rutland County Council) Video/Audio solution in place.  The main
infrastructure and internet connection is hosted by Leicestershire Council
and the technology was installed and is supported/maintained by the
supplier Pro-AV.
