Teaching vacancies

The request was successful.

Dear East Renfrewshire Council,
Could you please provide the following information for each of your 7 secondary schools:

1) A list, by school, of all permanent teaching vacancies (promoted and unpromoted) which have arisen since January 2016.
Please include:
-Job title including subject;
-FTE (for part-time or jobshare posts);
-Date of advertisement;
-Number of candidates appointed (if more than one)

Please highlight posts to which no appointment was made and posts which were withdrawn (with a reason, if possible)

2) A list of all teaching posts in secondary schools which were filled without the post being nationally advertised in the normal way and, if possible, the reason for this. Please include posts filled by compulsory transfer; transfers from temporary to permanent contracts; part-time staff increasing their hours etc.

For the avoidance of doubt I am requesting details about the posts only, not any details of the individuals appointed to these posts. I require info only on permanent posts and only in secondary schools. Many thanks.

Yours faithfully,

Mr C William

Can I just check up on the progress of this request again please?

Dear East Renfrewshire Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of East Renfrewshire Council's handling of my FOI request 'Teaching vacancies', reference number 1556143

I am still awaiting a response to one of two pieces of information I had requested on 22nd June 2017. By law, the information should have been provided within 21 working days - it is now nearly four months since this request. When I received my original reply, it answered the other point I had requested, but was told that due to an admin error it would take "some time" to get the required information for my second point. Around a month after that, I requested an update and was told that the information was being chased up. Nearly two more months have passed and a recent attempt to get in contact did not receive any response. I have made requests to ERC before and they have always been dealt with promptly so I am hoping this is just a mix-up - could it please be looked into?

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/t...

Yours faithfully,

Mr C William

Dear Mr Mahon,

Sorry, I assumed that after receiving the information from Mr Friel, the internal review was concluded, otherwise I would have clarified that I no longer wished to pursue a review. I apologise for the extra work!
