Thank you for your Internal Review request dated 26 February 2025
regarding a Freedom of Information request in which you asked for:

The purpose of an Internal Review is to assess how your Freedom of
Information request was handled in the first instance and to determine
whether the original decision given to you was correct. This is an
independent review: I was not involved in the original decision.

Your original request (Ref 24002) was submitted on the 28 January 2025 and
the response was issued on 27 February 2025. You were advised the
following:

Your internal review request was received 26 February 2025 and stated:

│“The response to my FOI request (ref 24002) has not been provided within│
│the obligatory timescale. By law, Conwy Council must provide a response │
│within 20 working days. Your acknowledgment should have been provided by│
│25th February 2025. It is noted that Conwy Council has not provided any │
│reason for the delay or notification of a timescale extension. Please │
│inform me of when you will be providing the response and your reasons │
│for the unreasonable delay.” │

I have reviewed the timeframe taken to provide you with a response to your
request, as set out within the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I can
confirm that in this instance, regrettably, we have not achieved the
twenty working days response target and this was due to an oversight
during the relevant Service’s procedure for the processing of FOI
requests. A review of this procedure has been undertaken to minimise such
incidences occurring in the future.

This therefore concludes the Internal Review of your information request.
