Dear West Lancashire District Council,

I am writing to make an open Government request for all the information to which I am entitled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

With this in mind could you please provide the following information:

1. How many registered sex offenders currently (10.08.17) hold a taxi drivers' licence issued by West Lancashire District Council?

2. Please provide the protocol/practices followed by West Lancashire District Council for registered sex offenders who apply for a taxi drivers' licence.

3. From April 2016 - March 2017 how many taxi licenses have been issued to registered sex offenders by West Lancashire District Council?

4. How many are currently registered with West Lancashire District Council as sex offender status?

I would like the above information to be provided to us as paper or electronic copies, audio tape version or an opportunity to view.

If this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist requesters. If any of this information is already in the public domain, please can you direct me to this with page references and URLs if necessary.

I understand that you are required to respond to this request within the 20 working days after you receive this letter.

All applications are processed in accordance with the Council’s Hackney
Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy.
