Taxi and Private Hire Enforcement
Dear St Helens Metropolitan Borough Council,
During the years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019,2020 and 2021 how many times did Taxi & Private Hire Licensing Enforcement Officers visit the following districts to conduct enforcement checks on the drivers and vehicles that are licensed by yourselves.
Birmingham City Council
Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council
Bury Metropolitan Borough Council
Cheshire West & Chester Council
City of Wolverhampton Council
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council
Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council
Leicester City Council
Liverpool City Council
Manchester City Council
Oldham Council
Rochdale Borough Council
Rossendale Borough Council
Salford City Council
Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council
Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council
Trafford Council
Sefton Council
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council
Walsall Council
Wigan Council
Wirral Council
For clarity, I am not asking for enforcement within your local district but for checks made on vehicles/drivers licensed by yourselves that are working occasionally, predominantly, or exclusively in the districts listed where your officers have had to travel to in order to undertake these enforcement checks.
If you have undertaken enforcement exercises in any of these districts, then how many vehicles/drivers were checked on each occasion?
Yours faithfully,
Lee Ward

Dear Mr Ward
In response to your request re: enforcement in other areas.
St Helens do not routinely conduct checks in other Licensing Authorties.

I'd suggest reporting them to the ICO now, and not give them any more chances.
They seem incapable of complying with the law.
I'm still waiting for a response to a request I made in May, despite the ICO finding them in breach of the legislation.
The more of us that complain, the more likely the ICO will be to take action.
